Arcola won their season opener on Monday defeating PV East 42-39. Arcola was down by 8 at half time but took a 26-6 run into the fourth quarter. PV East fought back to make it a one posession game, but Max Gretzula caused a turnover with 4 seconds left to seal the victory. Gretzula added 5 points and 5 rebounds. John Keenan paced the scoring with 19 points and Noah Kitaw added 14 points and 6 rebounds.
