The Arcola 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Chichester MS (39-26) in round one of the Queen of the Court (Coaches vs Cancer) tournament held at Colonial MS. Newcomer Tejarra Ellis finished the game with 10 rebounds, 6 steals, and 18 points. Point guard Kyra Dubost had 11 points. The girls advance to the semi-finals.
