The Methacton Girls Indoor Track and Field Teams continued to pile up medals and qualify athletes for post-season competition at Lehigh University on Wednesday night. Against more than 60 schools, 5 athletes and a relay team qualified for the Meet of Champions with top 5 performances. Haley Kramer was the first to do so with a 5th place finish in the 60M Hurdles in a time of 9.77 seconds, just .12 seconds from State qualifying. Kaitlyn Saal-Ridpath also earned a 5th place medal in the 400M with a time of 1:02.90. Gabby Becattini placed 5th in the long jump (16' 7") as did Jacqui Schatz in the Pole Vault (9' 0"). Seline Tan-Torres ran a State Qualifying time in the 800M for the 2nd time this season with a 4th place finish of 2:24.74. Rounding out the scoring was the 4x200 Relay of Lizzy Shadle, Kelly Fields, Saal-Ridpath and Becattini, who placed 5th in a time of 1:51.20. The girls return to Lehigh next Thursday for their final meet of 2010.
