The Methacton Girls Track and Field Team competed at Penn State University over the weekend at the Kevin Dare Invitational, setting 2 more school records and adding several more athletes to the list of State qualifiers. Seline Tan-Torres broke her own school record in the 800M run with a time of 2:19.46, finishing 2nd. Emma Sullivan also broke her own school record in the Pole Vault with a State Qualifying performance of 10' 6".
The 4x400 Relay of Elexa Sherman, Zoe Bongiovanni, Seline Tan-Torres and Kaitlyn Saal-Ridpath improved their State Qualifying time, winning the event in 4:04.51. Saal-Ridpath also qualified in the open 400M run with a 4th place finish in a time of 59.81 seconds. The hurdle tandem of Gabby Becattini and Haley Kramer also punched their ticket to the State Meet, coming in the 3rd and 4th in the event with times of 9.45 seconds and 9.53 seconds. Becattini followed her hurdle performance with a 2nd place finish in both the long jump (17' 5.5") and the triple jump (36' 10.5"). Overall, the girls had 16 top 10 performances in the meet and 9 State Qualifying performances.
