Girls Varsity Winter Track vs. Meet of Champions

The Methacton Girls Track and Field Team continued their post-season with several outstanding performances at the Delaware Valley Girls Track Association Meet of Champions on Friday night. Gabby Becattini led the way, winning the Triple Jump with a leap of 37' 9" and also placing 4th in the Long Jump with a personal best jump of 17' 10". Emma Sullivan continued her strong season in the Pole Vault, placing 2nd with a 10' 0" performance. The 4x800 Meter Relay Team of Elexa Sherman, Shannon Palmer, Nicole Karsch and Seline Tan-Torres also finished 2nd with a time of 9:33.89, just .19 of a second off their school record. The 4x400 Relay Team of Sherman, Zoe Bongiovanni, Tan-Torres and Kaitlyn Saal-Ridpath also had a medal winning performance, placing 4th with a time of 4:07.14.
The girls travel to Penn State University next weekend for the PA State Championships. Competing for the Lady Warriors will be:
