(4) Pennsbury 43, (5) Methacton 34 – The Warriors misfired badly in their District 1-6A quarterfinal loss to the host Falcons Saturday afternoon. While not exactly lights-out from the free throw line this season – 54 percent (208-387) entering Saturday’s game – Methacton shot a dismal 32 percent (9-28) to drop into the playback phase of the tournament. Nicole Timko knocked down three triples and finished with a team-high 13 points. . The third quarter was also a problem for the Warriors, who fell behind 27-20 by the end of the frame after Pennsbury’s 14-7 run broke open a 13-13 halftime tie. Cassidy Kropp added seven points and Caroline Pellicano complemented her seven rebounds with four points for Methacton, which has already qualified for the state playoffs and will now face (8) Upper Dublin in a district seeding game Wednesday. (5) Methacton 45, (12) Souderton 34 – The Warriors advanced to the District 1-6A quarterfinals and locked up their second straight trip to the state playoffs with the decisive win, keyed by Nicole Timko (7 rebounds) and Sydney Hargrove (6 rebounds) with 12 points apiece. Methacton, which moves on to face (4) Pennsbury in the quarterfinals Saturday (TBA), actually trailed 7-4 after a sluggish opening period before ratcheting up the defense during a 14-2 run in the second quarter that provided an 18-9 lead at the break. Sydney Tornetta (7 rebounds, 4 steals) and Caroline Pellicano (6 rebounds) cashed 8 points each as the Warriors raised their impressive mark to 23-3 and reached the district  quarterfinals for the first time since 2008. The state playoff bid is the fifth in program history. For the Indians, who face (13) Rustin – 58-30 losers to Pennsbury – in the playback phase Saturday, Olivia Schneider led the way with 11 points. Warriors Win: 63 - 25
The Lady warriors celebrated Senior night honoring Sydney Tornetta, Sydney Hargrove and Caroline Pellicano with a 63-25 win over Pope John Paul.  The Lady Warriors rode a stifling defensive effort and balanced scoring attack to their 10th straight victory in PAC crossover action to move to 20-2 overall and 14-2 in the PAC. The Lady Warriors held the Golden Panthers to single digits in each quarter, building leads of 22-7, 35-12 and 49-21 through the first three quarters. Sophomore Nicole Timko (17 points, 3 treys), Sydney Tornetta (13 points, 5 rebounds) and Sydney Hargrove (13 points) all hit double figures for the Lady Warriors, who also got 6 boards and 7 points from Caroline Pellicano. The Lady Warriors clinched second place in the PAC Liberty and the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Final 6 playoffs with their ninth straight victory Thursday night 41-39 at Owen J Roberts. Sophomore Nicole Timko scored 17 points and knocked down a pair of free throws in the final minute to help the Lady Warriors- ranked No. 5 in the current District 1-Class 6A power rankings - avenge a 48-37 loss to the Wildcats Jan. 7. It was a grand night for Lady Warriors senior Sydney Tornetta, who cashed in a game-high 22 points to become the seventh girls player in program history to reach 1,000 career points as the Lady Warriors rolled to the PAC crossover win Tuesday night vs Upper Merion 70-17 for their eighth straight win.  The team is now 18-2 on the season overall and 12-2 in the PAC. The Lady Warriors used a 42-2 spurt over the 2nd and 3rd quarters to cruise to a 61-18 win over Norristown.  The win moved the team to 14-2 on the season and 9-2 in the PAC.  Senior Sydney Tornetta finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals, Sophomore Nicole Timko hit three treys for 19 points and Freshman Cassidy Kropp scored 14 points on two triples as the Lady Warriors cruised to the PAC Liberty triumph. The Lady Warriors, which built a 41-6 halftime lead before pitching a 15-0 shutout in the third quarter, also got a strong performance from Senior Caroline Pellicano who contributed 8 rebounds and 4 points. Warriors Win: 42 - 39
The Lady Warriors and Rams played a tight evenly contested game for 36 minutes as the Lady Warriors knocked off Springford 42-39 in overtime.  Sophomore Nicole Timko finished with 13  points, including a clutch three-pointer with 2:40 left in overtime to give the Warriors a 40-38 lead they’d never relinquish in their Liberty win over the two-time defending PAC champion Rams. The Lady Warriors played a tough and physical Camden Catholic squad toe to toe to grab a 37-29 victory at the Wildwood Boardwalk Classic.  It was the programs first title in the tournament since 2011 and the fourth overall in their 14 trips to the tournament.   Freshman Cassidy Kropp poured in 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to power the Lady Warriors to the championship of the General Melini Memorial Bracket at the Wildwood (NJ) Boardwalk Classic at Wildwood Convention Center Saturday afternoon. The Lady Warriors held on down the stretch as a desperation Boyertown three at the buzzer was no good giving the Lady Warriors a hard fought 46-43 win at Boyertown on Tuesday night in the PAC opener.
