Girls Varsity Cross Country at The Twilight Meet at Souderton HS

Warriors Lose: 7 - 7
The Girls X-C Team "raced" against some very tough competition at Souderton HS's Twilight Meet on Saturday October 8th. The Team finished 7th of 7 Teams in the Varsity Race.
Top 5 Varsity Runners: 1-Jr Anna Price 22nd overall 20:58, 2-Soph Julia Malachowski 30th 21:21, 3-Sr Ryan DeOrio 31st 21:34, 4-Soph Becky Sobeck 42nd 22:17, 5-Jr Sarah Nicoletti 44th 22:33. There were 49 Runners in the Varsity race.
The JV Team finished 3rd of 5 Teams in the JV Race. Fr Carly Ukalovic won this event.
The Top 3 JV Runners were medal winners. 1-Fr Carly Ukalovic 1st overall 20:42, 2-Fr Ellie Joseph 16th 23:13 & 3-Fr Reese O'Brien 20th 23:19

The Girls X-C Team "raced" against some very tough competition at Souderton HS's Twilight Meet on Saturday October 8th. The Team finished 7th of 7 Teams in the Varsity Race.

Warriors Win: 49 - 15
The Girls XC Team lost to a very tough PAC-10 rival...OJR, at Warwick Park, on Wednesday Oct. 5th 49-15. OJR had the first 6 finishers and eleven out of the Top 12 Runners only Jr Anna Price was able to split up the Wildcats. The Winning Time was 20:43 by Emily Hansell from OJR.
Varsity 7: 1-Jr Anna Price 7th overall 20:53, 2-Sr Ryan DeOrio 12th 21:46, 3-Soph Julia Malachowski 13th 21:49, 4-Soph Becky Sobeck 19th 22:41, 5-Jr Sarah Nicoletti 24th 22:58, 6-Soph Olivia Leber 27th 23:10 & 7-Fr Kristin Brycki 29th 23:17. There were 54 Runners "racing" at this event. The loss places The Team at 1-4 in the League.
Next up, The Team will "race" at its last Invitational of the '16 XC season at Souderton HS's Twilight Meet on Saturday Oct 8th.

Warriors Lose: 36 - 42
The Girls XC Team traveled to Lehigh University to "race" the District course on Saturday October 1st in anticipation of the District One Championship Meet later in October (Friday the 28th). The Team battled some great competition, including Shenendehowa from Ohio...who won the event with 100 points..to finish 36th Overall of 42 scoring Teams. This event allows 10 Varsity Runners: 1-Jr Anna Price 142nd overall 20:35, 2-Soph Julia Malachowski 211th 21:18, 3-Soph Becky Sobeck 243rd 21:41, 4-Sr Ryan DeOrio 247th 21:44, 5-Fr Carly Ukalovic 252nd 21:47, 6-Jr Sarah Nicoletti 308th 22:52, 7-Fr Marina Daywalt 312th 22:55, 8-Fr Kristin Brycki 334th 23:44, 9-Fr Maddy Zeigler 338th 23:55 & 10-Fr Ellie Joseph 356th 24:54. The Winning Time was 17:21 Lydia Olivere from Padua Academy. There were 370 Girls "racing" at this event.
Next up, The Team will "race" at Warwick Park on Wednesday, Oct 5th against potential District representative OJR. This is a PAC-10 League event.

Warriors Lose: 38 - 45
The Varsity Team traveled to Hershey to "race" the "State" course against some very tough competition.
The Team finished 38th of 45 Varsity Teams. They finished 6th of 7 PAC-10 Teams at this event.
Varsity Runners: Jr Anna Price 156th 22:06, Fr Carly Ukalovic 163rd 22:11, Soph Julia Malachowski 178th 22:22, Sr Ryan DeOrio 223rd 23:04, Soph Olivia Leber 234th 23:21, Soph Becky Sobeck 250th 23:52 & Jr Sarah Nicoletti 270th 24:24. There were 308 total Runners in this race

Warriors Lose: 2 - 4
This was a first time appearance for the Team at this event. It was also minus the Varsity 7 who were at the PIAA Foundation Race in Hershey.
The Team finished 2nd of 4 Teams in the Varsity race. Medal winners were Fr Maddy Zeigler 8th 22:48, Fr Kristin Brycki 11th 23:17 & Sr Emily Shea 12th 23:30. There were 31 Runners in this race.
The Team finished 2nd of 4 Teams in the JV race. Medal winners were Fr Marina Daywalt 2nd 23:25, Soph Nicole Dellose 5th 25:14, Soph Lindsey Coia 25:45 & Jr Megan Ashliman 26:42. There were 14 Runners in the race.
Fr Maria Clark 9th 26:03 took home a medal in the Freshmen Race.

Warriors Lose: 15 - 50
The Girls XC Team celebrated Their 1st PAC-10 win of the season by defeating visiting Norristown 15-50.
Varsity Runners: 1-Fr Carly Ukalovic 21:41, 2-Jr Anna Price 21:52, 3-Soph Julia Malachowski 22:01, 4-Sr Ryan DeOrio 23:09, 5-Jr Sarah Nicoletti 23:46, 6-Soph Becky Sobeck 23:48 & 7-Soph Oliovia Leber 23:54.
The Team placed the first 12 Runners overall and had 17 of 21 Runners race at this event.
Next up, The Team will be split with the Varsity running at the PIAA Foundation Race held at Hershey with the rest of The Team at The Penncrest Invitational.

Warriors Lose: 4 - 8
The Girls XC Team "raced" at the "newly" designed Harrier Invitational at Pottstown HS. The Invitational is now a 2-mile race divided up into 3 races: Varsity Runners 1&2, Varsity Runners 3&4 and Varsity Runners 4,5&6 race in Their event and Their places are added up as a Team score. The Team finished 4th of 8 total Teams at the event.
Top 5 Runners: 1-Fr Carly Ukalovic 13:25, 2-Anna Price 13:31, 3-Julia Malachowski 14:00, 4-Sr Ryan DeOrio 14:04 & 5-Soph Becky Sobeck 14:12

Warriors Win: 44 - 15
The Girls XC Team was not able to break up the Pack of excellent Runners that leads the Rams in scoring. Spring-Ford finished with the Top 5 Runners to win this Meet 15-44. Top Finisher for Methacton was Fr Carly Ukalovic who finished 6th overall with a time of 22:13 on our Home course.
Varsity Runners: 1-Fr Carly Ukalovic 6th overall 22:13, 2-Jr Anna Price 8th 23:06, 3-Sr Ryan DeOrio 10th 23:17, 4-Soph Becky Sobeck 12th 23:48, 5-Soph Olivia Leber 14th 23:56, 6-Soph Julia Malachowski 15th 23:59 & 7- Jr Sarah Nicoletti 16th 24:15.
The Team had 20 of 21 Runners competing at this event.
PAC-10 Record: 0-2

Girls Varsity Cross Country at The Bulldog Invitational

Warriors Lose: 5 - 6
The Bulldog Invitational is an excellent XC event because it offers 3 "races"...Varsity, JV & a Girls Novice race for 9th & 10 graders. The Girls Novice race was up 1st and the XC team finished 3rd of 4 Teams. This group was lead by Fr Maria Clark (17th/54 runners), Fr Ellie Joseph (19th/54) & Marina Daywalt (20th/54). Next up was the Varsity race. The XC Team finished 5th of 6 Teams. They were lead by Jr Anna Price (14th/42 Runners), Fr Carly Ukalovic 21st/42) & Sr Ryan DeOrio (22nd/42). The last race of the event was the JV race. The JV Team finished 2nd of 6 Teams. They had 4 Runners in the Top 10 Finishers lead by Fr Maddy Ziegler who WON the race, Fr Kristin Brycki (2nd/47 runners), Soph Julia Malachowski (3rd/47) & Fr Reese O'Brien 10th/47). The Team will race next on Wednesday, Sept 14th, hosting a tough Spring-Ford XC program.

Warriors Win: 34 - 21
The XC Team started the PAC-10 League competition with an away Meet at Boyertown-East Middle School. Boyertown welcomed back top area Runner Sr Gillian Kastiz who played soccer last season. She will challenge for top honors this XC season. Boyertown raced well on their Home course securing a 21-34 victory. Top 5 Runners for Methacton were: Fr Carly Ukalovic, Jr Anna Price, Sr Ryan DeOrio, Soph Becky Sobeck & Fr Maddy Ziegler. The Team will travel to Rose Tree Media Park on Saturday, Sept 10th, for The Bulldog Invitational.

Warriors Lose: 13 - 14
The XC Team traveled to West Chester to compete in this well regarded 2-mile relay event. The Varsity Relay Teams, there were 4 squads, finished 13th of 14 Teams. The top squad was made of Fr Carly Ukalovic & Sr Ryan DeOrio. The best individual Runner was Jr Anna Price. The JV event was also a 2-mile race. The top 5 JV Runners were: Fr Reese O'Brien, Fr Maria Clark, Soph Nicole Dellose, Fr Sydney Tobin & Jr Julia Foley.

The '16 XC Team "trained" on the beautiful Betzwood Trail on Saturday Morning Aug 27th. This local Trail is a great spot to get a Long Distance Run in on a "soft" surface.

Warriors Lose: 1 - 3
The XC Team visited the Spring-ford campus for their excellent Pre-season XC scrimmage on Friday morning Aug 26th. The scrimmage displays some super District One Teams ex. Perk Valley, W C Henderson, Downington-East, Owen J Roberts and of course the host school Spring-ford. The Team finished with a 1-8 record overall and 1-3 against PAC-10 opponents. The Top 7 Runners were Fr Carly Ukalovic, Sr Ryan DeOrio, Soph Becky Sobeck, Soph Olivia Leber, Fr Maddy Ziegler, Sr Emily Shea & Fr Kristin Brycki.

The '16 Cross Country Team started the season with Their traditional "Race" at The Ivyland 5K. The Team was lead by Freshman Carly Ukalovic who finished 86th Overall. The Top 7 Runners were Carly Ukalovic, Sr Ryan DeOrio, Jr-Anna Price, Soph-Becky Sobeck, Soph-Olivia Leber, Soph-Julia Malachowski & Sr Emily Shea. The Team would like to Thank the following "Fans" of The XC Program who also "Raced" that day: Mr Malachowski, Mr Ryan, Wm Tennent Head Girls XC Coach Ashley Lewis, Mrs Price, Mrs Ryan and especially Their #1 "Fan" Mrs Mahan.
