Due to the inclement weather that is supposed to be on top of us at 3:20pm today, we are cancelling practice.  Friday practice is still on:  please arrive by 2:50 at the putting green.  Varsity will be going to the back nine to play holes 14,15,16,17, and 18 due to a tournament.  JV may play a few holes or be strictly at the range.  Please arrange ahead of time for an early end to practice because of this modified schedule.  We will be handing out our golf shirts tomorrow as well.  Varsity and JV have a match on Monday - Varsity is away at Hickory Valley and JV is home.

Congratulations to the following golfers qualifying for the 2020 Golf Team.  Thank you to all those golfers that came to the try-outs.  If your name is listed below please arrive at Skippack by 2:50pm tomorrow.  Please check back tomorrow on this website in case practice must be canceled due to weather.

The time has FINALLY arrived!  Tryouts start this Tuesday September 8th at 3pm.  Please try to arrive by 2:50pm and find Coach Flanagan and Coach Ryan who will be located between the starter shed and the outdoor restaurant seating.  A few things to be aware of:

1.  A health screening will be taken at the time of your arrival.  While you are waiting for your screening please maintain a six foot distance between you and other golfers.  You will be asked a series of questions related to COVID-19 and then you may wait your turn to be placed in a foursome.  This will take some time to organize so please be patient.

2.  MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.  The only time that a player may remove his mask is when their group is on the first tee.

3.  YOU MUST REMAIN 6 FT APART AT ALL TIMES.  

Update on Golf Tryouts:  The PAC has chosen 9/7 as the start date for fall sports.  However that date falls on Labor Day and we will not have our first tryout on that date.  We will have our first day of tryouts on 9/8 at 3pm at Skippack.  This will all be very fluid as none of us will be coming from school, so please be prepared prior to your 7th period class to leave immediately when the period ends.  More information will be provided in the next week.

Per the Pioneer Athletic Conference the start of Fall sports has been pushed back until September 7th.  That will be the new start date for tryouts.  Information is continually changing so please stay tuned for updates.

To all those interested in trying out for the Boys JV and Varsity Golf Team:

**** You must have a completed physical and Eligibility Packet completed and turned in Prior to Friday August 14th to the Athletic Office.  There is a new protocol in effect on where to turn in those documents - please see the Athletic Office website for details.

**** When you arrive to the course check in with Coach Flanagan and Coach Ryan.  You MUST wear a mask at all times before you tee off.  We will also need to be aware of social distancing on the putting green and areas around the green.  

**** You may remove your mask when your foursome has arrived at the first tee.  Maintain a distance of 6 feet apart at all times.
