The No. 13 Lady Warriors were unable to overcome a sluggish start while suffering a 51-42 loss to No. 4 Garnet Valley in the second round of the District 1-6A playoffs Wednesday night. The Lady Warriors (19-7) fell behind 14-3 in the first quarter and got as close as 39-35 when Senior Sydney Thompson (7 points) drilled a three-pointer early in the fourth quarter. The Lady Warriors seized control from the opening tip behind seniors Ryan DeOrio, Jackie Cerchio and Jenna Cooper en route to a 62-38 romp over Downingtown East in the opening round of the District 1-6A playoffs Saturday afternoon.   DeOrio finished with 15 points and five assists, Cerchio scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds and Cooper added 11 points to pace the 13th-seeded Warriors (19-6), who led 17-7 after one quarter, 31-18 at the break and 47-28 heading into the final frame.   The Lady Warriors move on to face No. 4 Garnet Valley on the road Wednesday (7 p.m.), with the winner locking up a state playoff bid. Warriors Lose: 44 - 47
The Boyertown Bears secured the Pioneer Athletic Conference championship with a hard-earned 47-44 victory over the stubborn Lady Warriors. With 43 seconds remaining and the score deadlocked at 44.  Boyertown scored a bucket totake the lead 46-44.  Lady Warriors freshman Sydney Tornetta’s three-point attempt spun out at the 5-second mark which would have gave the Lady Warriors the lead. Boyertown then hit one of two free throws with 1.8 seconds left, and the Ladt Warriors final heave from the length of the court fell short. Warriors Win: 38 - 28
The Lady Warriors gutted out a tough 38-28 win over Upper Merion Saturday night in the PAC Playoffs.  The win sends the Lady Warriors (18-5) on to the PAC Championship vs Boyertown on Wednesday 2/15 at 7pm at Perkiomen Valley.  This will be the Lady Warriors fifth trip to the Championship game in their nine seasons in the PAC and are hoping that this time gets them their first PAC title.  Junior Nicole Cooper provided a spark off the bench scoring 12 points.  Senior Sydney Thompson also scored 12 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Senior Ryan DeOrio hit the 1,000-point career milestone with a 15-point effort, becoming the sixth player in the Lady Warriors girls program to reach the coveted mark, but it wasn’t enough as the 17-5 Lady Warriors dropped a 55-47 nonleague decision to Souderton (17-4) Saturday night. Warriors Win: 52 - 44
Senior Ryan DeOrio posted 16 points and 5 steals while Jackie Cerchio had 11 points and 9 rebounds for the Lady Warriors (8-2 Liberty, 11-2 PAC, 17-4 Overall), who locked up second place in the Liberty and the No. 3 seed in the upcoming PAC playoffs with the win 52-44 over Perkiomen Valley   DeOrio also moved to within 10 points of 1,000 for her career.  The Lady Warriors used a 22-8 run in the second quarter to turn the game around and avenge and early season buzzer beating loss to Perkiomen Valley.   The team has one final regular season game on Saturday night 2/4 at 7pm, Senior night vs Souderton.  They will then take on Upper Merion, the Frontier Conference Champion, in the Final Five PAC playoffs next Saturday 2/11 at 5:30pm at Perkiomen Valley.   Methacton (52) – DeOrio 8 0-0 16, N. Trailing 42-41 entering the fourth quarter, the Lady Warriors took control with a 14-5 run over the final 8 minutes to seize the victory 55-47 at Owen J. Roberts. Freshman Sydney Tornetta cashed 14 points, Senior Sydney Thompson added 12 and Senior Ryan DeOrio chipped in with 11 – with DeOrio reaching 974 points for her career. Senior Ryan DeOrio dropped in 21 points and Junior Olivia Pennypacker added 14 as the Lady Warriors (15-4) recorded the nonleague victory.   The Lady Warriors came out quickly and held a 14 point half time lead.  But Penn Wood changed the tide in the third quarter outscoring the Lady Warriors 21-8. The Lady Warriors defeated Norristown 70-21 in a Friday night PAC match-up.  Senior Ryan DeOrio collected 14 points and 9 assists while becoming the third player in program history with 100 career three-pointers to pace the Lady Warriors, who set the tone with a 31-6 first-quarter lead that expanded to 49-8 at the break.  DeOrio also moved into sixth place, passing 2013 grad Kelsey Watson, on the career scoring list with 942 points.   Junior Olivia Pennypacker hit for 14 points and Senior Jackie Cerchio added 11 points for the Lady Warriors (9-2 PAC, 14-4 Overall).  The win also moved the team to the brink of clinching one of the 5 playoff spots for the PAC playoffs scheduled to start on 2/7.    Norristown (21) – Collins 3 0-0 6, Green 1 0-0 2, E. Senior Jackie Cerchio stuffed the stat sheet with 11 rebounds, 8 points and 7 assists to help the Lady Warriors (8-2 PAC, 13-4) snap a two-game slide with a 53-30 OT win over the Rams (7-3 PAC, 13-5).   Freshman Sydney Tornetta had 16 points and 7 rebounds and Senior Ryan DeOrio cashed 15 points, hitting a trio of triples to move within one of 100 career trifectas. The Lady Warriors made a late fourth quarter run, but it was not enough as they fell to Central Dauphin 69-62 in a match-up of two Honorable Mention teams in the 6A state rankings.  Senior Ryan DeOrio collected 21 points and 5 assists while Freshman Sydney Tornetta had 9 points and 7 rebounds for the Lady Warriors (12-4), who were victimized by a 25-13 run in the second quarter at the AFBE Tournament at Boyertown. Senior Jackie Cerchio posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Senior Sydney Thompson delivered 13 points on three triples to carry the Lady Warriors to a 54-29 PAC divisional crossover win over Phoenixville (5-6, 3-3 PAC).  The win moved the teams record to 11-2 ovreall and 6-1 in the PAC. The Lady Warriors (5-1 PAC, 10-2 Overall) rolled to the PAC interdivisional win behind a fast start and balanced scoring attack, keyed by Senior Ryan DeOrio’s game-high 19 points on five triples. Senior Jackie Cerchio (8 rebounds, 4 steals) and Junior Jillian Zerbe added 10 points apiece for the Lady Warrios, who were never challenged after grabbing leads of 23-11 after one quarter and 46-22 by the intermission. Senior Ryan DeOrio cashed in 20 points to propel the Lady Warriors to a 59-56 nonleague triumph over Lansdale Catholic Saturday.   Coming off a 51-49 heartbreaking loss to Perkiomen Valley on a buzzer-beating trey, the Lady Warriors (9-2) got back on track with a 25-8 second-quarter run that reversed a 13-3 first-quarter deficit.   Also for the Lady Warriors, which survived 10 three-balls from the Crusaders, Freshman Sydney Tornetta, Junior Olivia Pennypacker and Senior Sydney Thompson combined for 24 points.   Methacton (59) – DeOrio 6 6-7 20, N. Warriors Lose: 49 - 51
Perkiomen Valley drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to record a 51-49 Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division win over the Lady Warriors.   Perkiomen Valley buried the triple after the Lady Warriors (4-1, 8-2) had taken a 49-48 lead with 1:11 left on the fourth three-ball of the night from Senior Sydney Thompson (12 points).   But the Vikings (3-2, 4-4) had the final answer with a three-shot in their final possession after the Lady Warriors missed a pair of free throws in the final minute.   Senior Jackie Cerchio delivered 17 points and 7 rebounds while Senior Ryan DeOrio chipped in with 10 points and 7 assists for the Lady Warriors, who were victimized by nine Perk Valley three-balls. The Lady Warriors (8-1) routed the Patriots (3-6) in non-league play, in a game made-up from a middle December postponement. Senior Ryan DeOrio led the way with 14 points, including a 3-pointer, while Junior Olivia Pennypacker finished with 11 points and Senior Sydney Thompson 10 as the Lady Warriors raced out to a 31-19 lead at the half before limiting Great Valley to nine points in the second half. Lady Warriors suffers first defeat of season in Wildwood

Warriors Lose: 35 - 41
The Lady Warriors traveled to Wildwood, NJ for the 11th straight year to take part in the Wildwood Boardwalk Basketball Classic at the Wildwood Convention Center.  The tournament is the largest single venued Co-Ed High School Basketball Tournament in the country.  This year's Girls Tournament featured 8 brackets with 32 of the top teams in NJ and PA.  The Lady Warriors (5-1) suffered their first loss of the season in the George Betz Memorial Bracket in a hard fought game to Neshaminy 41-35.  The Lady Warriors were led by a solid effort from Senior Jackie Cerchi who had 8 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Ryan DeOrio added 9 points and Freshman Sydney Tornetta cashed 8 for the Lady Warriors, which was fighting uphill all afternoon after falling into an 11-5 hole by the end of the first quarter to the 5-1 Redskins. Warriors Win: 44 - 27
Freshman Sydney Tornetta dropped five treys on six attempts for 19 points, Senior Ryan DeOrio added 14 points and Senior Jackie Cerchio finished with 15 rebounds  to lead the 4-0, 2-0 PAC Lady Warriors to a 44-27 Pioneer Athletic Conference victory at Boyertown.   The Lady Warriors used a 10-0 run to go up 17-14 at the break and put things away with a 16-2 edge in the fourth quarter after trailing by 14-7 early in the second quarter.   The win ended a four game losing skid to Boyertown over the past two seasons.  The team is next in action Saturday night with a home non-legue game ve Great Valley at 7pm.   Methacton (44) – DeOrio  4 4-4 14, J. Senior Sydney Thompson posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and Senior Ryan DeOrio cashed in 15 points as the unbeaten Lady Warriors opened the PAC season with a 55-47 victory over Spring-Ford Tuesday night. The Lady Warriors (3-0, 1-0 PAC), coming off a victory in their own Lady Warrior Classic over the weekend, used a 14-7 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from a narrow 41-40 lead. Warriors Win: 41 - 31
The Lady Warriors rode a fast start, led by Seniors Ryan DeOrio’s game-high 14 points and Jackie Cerchio’s all-around play that produced 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to the season-opening triumph at the Lady Warrior Classic. The Lady Warriors, which led 17-4 after one quarter, hosts Mount St. Joseph Academy in the championship game Saturday (4:30 p.m.).  The teams will have now faced of in the last four Championship games of the tournament with the Mount winning the previous three.  Freshman Sydney Tornetta also contributed 7 points in her first career game and start.  Juniors Nicole Cooper and Jill Zerbe provided key minutes and play off of the bench for the Lady Warriors.    Ridley (31) – Layden 1 0-0 2, S.
